Monday, March 31

  • Kent District Library Krause Branch Events

    • Baby Time: 10-10:30am. Delight and engage your baby with songs, a story and playtime. Get to know other families and help your baby develop listening and language skills. For babies from birth to 18 months with a caregiver. No registration required. 

    • Rhyme Time Music and Movement: 11:30am-12pm. Move and groove together with action rhymes, songs, games and hands-on musical activities that will help children develop motor, listening and literacy skills. 

  • Kent District Library Comstock Park Branch Events 3943 W River Dr NE, Comstock Park, MI.

    • Story Time: 10-11am. Nurture your child’s love of books and build early literacy skills through stories, rhymes, music and movement. No registration required.

  • Kent District Library East Grand Rapids Branch Events 746 Lakeside Dr SE, East Grand Rapids, MI

    • Baby Time: 9:30-10am & 10:30-11am. Delight and engage your baby with songs, a story and playtime. Get to know other families and help your baby develop listening and language skills. For babies from birth to 18 months with a caregiver.

  • Spring Break: Literacy Day at the Grand Rapids Public Museum: 11-3pm. Bring a book and find a cool corner of the Museum to read in, and join us in a 15 minute reading challenge. We’ll make an announcement at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to let the reading commence! 

Tuesday, April 1

  • Kent District Library Krause Branch Events

    • Toddler Time: 10-10:30am. Nurture your toddler's love of books through music, movement and stories while helping to develop their language, motor and social skills.

  • Trail Tuesdays @ Third Nature Brewing Company: 5-8pm. Every Tuesday stop by between 5 and close and run, walk, bike on the White Pine Trail and receive $2 off your first post workout pint. Be sure to check-in at the host stand. Dogs are welcome in our Biergarten.

  • Spring Break: Early Childhood Day at the Grand Rapids Public Museum: 11-3pm. Bring in your babies and toddlers! We are excited to welcome our youngest learners to get hands-on at the Museum. Great Start is bringing 150 books for early readers, and they’re giving them away for FREE!

Wednesday, April 2

  • Korean BBQ Cooking Class at Thought Design: 6-8pm. Experience the vibrant flavors of Korea at their exciting Korean BBQ cooking class! This class is perfect for food lovers looking to explore new culinary horizons, and it's a fantastic way to share a fun evening with friends or family.   • Spring Break: STEAM DAY at the Grand Rapids Public Museum: 11-3pm. Get Curious about science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics at the GRPM! Experiment with kid-safe basic circuitry. Go on a river walk with a Grand River researcher. Design your own underwater remote operated vehicle and see how it fares in a tank of water. Explore fascinating technology like 3D printed models, a robot dog, and laser etching with West Michigan Makers. And more!

  • Spring Break: Paleontology Day at the Grand Rapids Public Museum: 11-3pm. Throwback Thursday! We’re going all the way back before the stone age. Discover the wonders of trilobites, which were underwater creatures that predate the dinosaurs, and learn about the Clapp Family Mastodon through a presentation by GRPM Science Curator Cory Redman. You can even see a few bones from the nearly complete mastodon.

  • Employee Sandwich Challenge at Archival Brewing: Employee Sandwich Challenge is back! Every week, try a new burger creation crafted by our staff. Whichever sandwich has the highest sales will be featured on the Spring/Summer menu!

Friday, April 4

  • Explore the John Ball Zoo: 10am-4pm. From up-close animal encounters to unforgettable family outings, a membership offers endless opportunities to explore, learn, and make memories all year long. Explore memberships online.

  • Tigers Watch Party at Honey Creek Inn: 1pm. Experience a stadium-style menu filled with incredible deals just for the game! Get ready for exciting prizes between innings as we kick off the first Tigers home game of the 2025 season. Don’t miss out!

  • Spring Break: Baseball Day at the Grand Rapids Public Museum: 11-3pm. BATTER UP! It’s opening day at the Museum for our newest exhibit: Play Ball! The World’s Largest Collection of Detroit Tigers Autographed Baseballs. Be among the first to come check out this 1,200 strong collection of baseballs donated by Steve and Mary Nagengast. Enjoy ballpark style hot dogs and a baseball-themed make and take activity.

  • Grand Rapids Griffins VS Rockford Icehogs: 7pm at Van Andel Arena. $2 beers & $2 hot dogs. Purchase tickets online.

  • Play Ball! Detroit Tigers Autographed Baseball Collection Opening Day at the Grand Rapids Public Museum: 9am-5pm. GRPM presents 1,200 Baseballs, 119 years of Detroit Tigers baseball history in their new exhibit, Play Ball! The World’s Largest Collection of Detroit Tigers Autographed Baseballs. The one-of-kind exhibit shares the legacy of the Detroit Tigers, their players, and stories that have made baseball history through artifacts, images, and interactives.

  • Opening Day at Rocky’s: (110 N Main St, Rockford, MI) 2pm. Downtown Rockford’s longtime, beloved ice cream shop offering many flavors, plus sundaes and doggie dishes.

  • First Fridays: Extended hours until 8pm. You’re invited to sip, shop, and stroll around Uptown GR every FIRST FRIDAY of the month when our shops stay open a little later.

Saturday, April 5

  • Saturday Farmer’s Market @ Fulton Street Market: 10am-1pm. 1145 Fulton St E, Grand Rapids, MI. Second Season starts on November 2nd and goes through April 26th. We are open on Saturdays from 10 AM - 1 PM.

  • Spring Break: Carnival Day at the Grand Rapids Public Museum: 11-3pm. Head to the Streets of Old Grand Rapids exhibit– the carnival is coming to town! Watch a juggler perform. Stop by a face painter for a fun and festive work of art you can wear all day. Enjoy carnival treats like cotton candy, popcorn, and snow-cones while you explore The Streets of Old Grand Rapids.

  • Group Walk/Run with Gazelle Sports: (154 Winter Ave NW, GR) 8am-9pm. Miles are more fun with friends! Join Gazelle Sports for a free weekly 3-4 mile community run/walk. Check-in starts at 7:30 am, run/walk will begin at 8:00 am.

  • GR Junk Journal Club Meeting: 4:30pm at Honeysuckle Co. (3900 Costa Ave. NE). Bring your journal, bring your junk, and have some fun! n collaboration with @rags_af — A super cool sticker shop, who will be helping us out by providing us with super cool stickers for the meeting. RSVP here

Sunday, April 6

  • Spring Break: Game Day at the Grand Rapids Public Museum: Bring a friend and several fun games throughout the Museum and in their newly redesigned arcade.

  • Date Night: Cocktails and Comedy at Sidebar GR: 7pm. Join Sidebar for the most underground & intimate night of laughter and libations! Grab your significant other, a friend, or come solo. Sit back, relax, and enjoy some hilarious comedy acts while sipping on delicious cocktails. Get all the info here!

  • Wicks and Waffles: 10am. Join CityFlatsHotel for a fun morning of candle making and delicious brunch. Start with creating your own custom scented candle with Gracewood Candles followed up a delicious brunch including a waffle bar with toppings, scrambled eggs, and applewood bacon). Also, enjoy an intimate shopping experience with a few select vendors. Tickets include the candle making workshop, coffee, and food.
