Monday, April 7

  • Kent District Library Krause Branch Events

    • Bookmobile Visit: 10-11:30pm at North Kent Connect (10075 Northland Dr NE, Rockford, MI) Stop by the Bookmobile parked in front of the building. Register for a library card, pick up program information and check out the latest books, movies, music and more to enjoy at home.

    • Baby Time: 10-10:30am. Delight and engage your baby with songs, a story and playtime. Get to know other families and help your baby develop listening and language skills. For babies from birth to 18 months with a caregiver. No registration required. 

    • Rhyme Time Music and Movement: 11:30am-12pm. Move and groove together with action rhymes, songs, games and hands-on musical activities that will help children develop motor, listening and literacy skills. 

  • Inclusive/Sensory Night at Meijer Gardens: 6-8pm. A special, after-hours event—designed specifically for visitors with autism or sensory processing needs, and their guests—during the Fred & Dorothy Fichter Butterflies Are Blooming exhibition. This unique opportunity allows you to enjoy the beauty of butterflies and lush tropical plants at your own pace. Explore additional indoor and outdoor spaces of Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park with sensory-friendly lighting and sounds, and visual supports intended to provide a calm, welcoming experience.

Tuesday, April 8

  • Kent District Library Krause Branch Events

    • Toddler Time: 10-10:30am. Nurture your toddler's love of books through music, movement and stories while helping to develop their language, motor and social skills.

  • Trail Tuesdays @ Third Nature Brewing Company: 5-8pm. Every Tuesday stop by between 5 and close and run, walk, bike on the White Pine Trail and receive $2 off your first post workout pint. Be sure to check-in at the host stand. Dogs are welcome in our Biergarten.

Wednesday, April 9

  • Grand Rapids Lantern Festival: 7:30-11:30pm at John Ball Zoo. The Grand Rapids Lantern Festival is a truly breathtaking experience for all ages. John Ball Zoo is the first and only place you can see these incredible works of art in Michigan. The lantern festival will feature handcrafted Asian lantern displays that will illuminate the Zoo and tell the intersecting story of wildlife and Asian culture. Timed tickets sold every 30 minutes. Last entry at 10:30pm. Advanced tickets required. Please arrive to the Zoo no more than 15 minutes before ticket entry time. Event will happen rain or shine. Purchase tickets here!

  • G-Eazy Helium Tour at 20 Monroe: All Ages Welcome. Doors open 7:00pm. Show begins 8:00pm. Will Call opens two hours prior to door time. Purchase tickets here.

  • Women’s Wedges & Wine at Pickle & Pin (662 Leonard St NW, Grand Rapids): 6-9pm. Ladies, it’s time to sip, swing, and socialize! Join Pickle & Pin for a fun midweek escape filled with great company, exciting activities, and wine specials. Whether you're here to practice your game or just enjoy a night out, they’ve got you covered! Court reservations & golf sims – $10 per hour per player. Wine specials all night.

  • Kent District Library Krause Branch Events:

  • Wristband Days at BattleGR: 1pm. Your ticket to non-stop action! Grab a wristband and enjoy unlimited access to activities like laser tag, archery tag, and axe throwing (age permitting) for one low price. Whether you’re flying solo, hanging with friends, or looking for a family day out, this is your chance to play all day and make epic memories.

Friday, April 11

  • Kent District Library Krause Branch Events 140 E Bridge St, Rockford, MI

    • Bubble Science: 2-3pm. Bubbles are amazing! Why are they round? Why are they iridescent? Come learn all about the science of bubbles. For families with children. This program is designed for kids ages 5 to 10.

  • Sip and Shop Egg Hunt at the Care Boutique (3630 Plainfield Ave NE, Grand Rapids): 2pm. Join for an egg hunt around the store, each egg holding a discount for a percentage off your ENTIRE purchase! Bites & Bubbly. More fun details to come!

  • Spring Break: WATER WONDERS DAY: 11-3pm. Dive into fun with a day exploring the wonders of the deep! Take a photo with Michigan Mermaid from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Design your own underwater remote operated vehicle and see how it fares in water. Check out our Grand Fish, Grand River exhibit and see live juvenile sturgeon Explore crafts like paper fish and more.

Saturday, April 12

  • Saturday Farmer’s Market @ Fulton Street Market: 10am-1pm. 1145 Fulton St E, Grand Rapids, MI. Second Season starts on November 2nd and goes through April 26th. We are open on Saturdays from 10 AM - 1 PM.

  • Easter Egg Hunt at St. Julian Winery Rockford Tasting Room: 12-1pm. (4425 14 Mile Rd NE Suite 1, Rockford, MI) An exciting Easter egg hunt that promises fun for the whole family! This is the perfect opportunity to create lasting memories with your little ones while enjoying the vibrant atmosphere. Bring the kids along, relax with a glass of wine or cocktail, and watch as they eagerly search for colorful eggs hidden throughout our space. With plenty of treats and surprises in store, this is an Easter celebration you won’t want to miss.

  • Bridge Street Makers Market & Bar Hop (614 Bridge St NW, Grand Rapids): 1-6pm. Community. Art. A Good time. Join them on Bridge Street in Grand Rapids to shop 30 local vendors with a drink in hand! This event is FREE to attend! You only pay for the items you wish to purchase and the drinks you want to consume. ​This is a family friendly event, however please note alcohol will be present due to the nature of the venues.

  • Hogwarts Adventure at Devos Performance Hall: 2pm. Enter the mystical world of wizards with the enchanting sounds of Harry Potter, performed live by candlelight. It’s a symphonic journey that transports you right into the heart of Hogwarts! Purchase tickets online.

  • Uptown Walking Food Tour: 11:30-2:30pm. Join for a fun, walking food tour through Uptown Grand Rapids, MI! Over three tasty hours, you'll enjoy delicious bites from must try GR culinary treasures. You’ll hit up four awesome spots where you’ll sample a delightful mix of savory and sweet dishes from local hotspots.   • Spring Break: NATURE OF COLOR DAY: 11-3pm. It’s The Nature of Color exhibit’s last weekend at the GRPM! Organized by the American Museum of Natural History, this exhibit explores the science of color, how colors make us feel, how they are perceived across cultures, the history of color production, and how plants and animals use color to help them survive and reproduce.

Sunday, April 13

  • MercyMe Live: 7pm at Van Andel Arena. With special guests Zach Williams and Sam Wesley. Purchase tickets online!

  • Sensory Sunday at the Grand Rapids Public Museum: 10am-5pm. Each month on the second Sunday of 2025, The Grand Rapids Public Museum is proud to provide a lower-sensory environment for visitors on the autism spectrum and other sensory processing needs.
