Kent District Library Krause Branch Events
Baby Time: 10-10:30am. Delight and engage your baby with songs, a story and playtime. Get to know other families and help your baby develop listening and language skills. For babies from birth to 18 months with a caregiver. No registration required.
Rhyme Time Music and Movement: 11:30am-12pm. Move and groove together with action rhymes, songs, games and hands-on musical activities that will help children develop motor, listening and literacy skills.

Kent District Library Krause Branch Events
Toddler Time: 10-10:30am. Nurture your toddler's love of books through music, movement and stories while helping to develop their language, motor and social skills.
Trail Tuesdays @ Third Nature Brewing Company: 5-8pm. Every Tuesday stop by between 5 and close and run, walk, bike on the White Pine Trail and receive $2 off your first post workout pint. Be sure to check-in at the host stand. Dogs are welcome in our Biergarten.
Wednesday, March 5
Toddler Time: 10-10:30am. Nurture your toddler's love of books through music, movement and stories while helping to develop their language, motor and social skills.
Story Time: 11:30am-12:30pm. Nurture your child’s love of books and build early literacy skills through stories, rhymes, music and movement. (ages 0-5).
Campsite Crafts: 10am-12pm. Fun crafts and games that will help you experience the great outdoors, but held indoors! For families with children.

Grand Rapids Rise vs. San Diego: 7pm at Van Andel Arena. West Michigan’s newest sports franchise, a women’s professional volleyball team. A member of the newly formed Pro Volleyball Federation. Purchase tickets here.
Thursday, March 6
Monster Jam at GRCM: 2-6pm at the Grand Rapids Children’s Museum. Come see a REAL massive Monster Jam truck on the Rainbow Road! Meet driver Jamie Sullivan, get autographs, take photos, and enjoy themed programming! Indoor activities included with museum admission. Free photo op outside from 5:30-6pm. $6 admission.
Art and Mindfulness: 6-8pm. Experience the tranquility of Meijer Gardens while discovering the advantages of mindfulness. Class begins in the serene upstairs conservatories, where the instructor guides you through sensory-engaging meditation and grounding exercises. Then head down to the classroom to create a meditative art piece using provided natural materials, all led by a registered art therapist. Get tickets online!

Rockford Bike Shop Ribbon Cutting and Membership Meeting: 4pm. Our friends at Rockford Bike Shop are moving into their new location! Bikes, Live Music with Tyler Gitchel and Tacos from F’nK.
Bonsai and brews at Third Nature Brewing Company: 6-8pm. Join Green Witch Gardens at Third Nature Brewing for an introductory course on tropical bonsai. Register online.
West Michigan Women’s Expo: 10am at DeVos Place Convention Center. The expo features hundreds of exhibits, main stage, shopping, and fun that aim to provide a weekend of entertainment, education, and enjoyment tailored to women and their families.
Monster Jam: 7pm at Van Andel Arena. Grand Rapids fans will be on the edge of their seats as the world’s best drivers show off crazy skills and all-out racing in fierce head-to-head battles for the Event Championship. Engineered to perfection, the 12,000-pound Monster Jam trucks push all limits in Freestyle, Skills, Donuts and Racing competitions.
First Friday Uptown GR: 5-8pm. Explore Uptown Grand Rapids shops, restaurants, and local businesses as they stay open late just for you! Saturday Farmer’s Market @ Fulton Street Market: 10am-1pm. 1145 Fulton St E, Grand Rapids, MI. Second Season starts on November 2nd and goes through April 26th. We are open on Saturdays from 10 AM - 1 PM.
BUTTERFLIES ARE BLOOMING: 9am - 5pm. This highly anticipated event, the largest temporary tropical butterfly exhibition in the United States, showcases the stunning diversity and intricate beauty of butterflies and moths. Butterflies Are Blooming invites visitors to celebrate the unique spectacle of lepidopteran flight and the exquisite patterns of their wings in the lush environment of the Lena Meijer Tropical Conservatory.
Mom + Me Pizza Making at Mind Body Baby: 4-5pm. A fun-filled evening of creativity and deliciousness at their Mom + Me Pizza Making Night! They’ll provide everything you need to craft your perfect pizza: premade dough, a variety of toppings, rolling pins, and aprons to decorate and wear during the fun. Rockford’s 20th Annual Community EXPO: 9am-2pm at Rockford High School. This event showcases over 125 local businesses, giveaways, mascots and more! ATTENDEES: Free parking and entry! Chances to win prizes every hour of the event and appearances from mascots!
Ada/Forest Hills Extravaganza: 9am to 1pm at Ada Christian School. The Extravaganza will highlight businesses, products and services available in the local area, while offering great entertainment and engaging activities for the entire family!
Runs Well With Others at Rise Bakery: 8:30 AM. Join Friendship Miles all winter for our 'Runs Well With Others' run and walk series! A 1.5 walking route, 1 mile beginner route, 3 mile route, and a 6 mile route will be provided. After your walk or run stay for coffee and donuts - they will have specials for attendees, prizes to giveaway, and special themes.

Sunday, March 9
One World, One Sky: Big Bird's Adventure (planetarium show) at the Grand Rapids Public Museum: 11am. Young audience members will be thrilled when they find themselves on Sesame Street with their famous friends, Big Bird and Elmo. Elmo and Hu Hu Zhu blast off on an imaginary trip to the Moon and when they return home to Earth everyone discovers that, no matter where we live, we all share the same sky. Recommended for ages 8 and younger, family audiences.
Sunday Night Crazy Rates @ Cannonsburg: 4-9pm. Sunday Night Crazy Rates are back! Rates are crazy cheap and include rentals and group lessons. Here are the details: Day: Every Sunday Time: 4pm-9pm, group lessons from 5pm-8pm Prices: $40 (11+ years), $20 (10 and under). *Helmets are still full price. What’s included: Lift ticket, rental and group lesson. Important: Crazy Rates are WALK-UP.
Slithering Sunday at the Downtown Market: 10am-1pm in the Greenhouse and Banquet Room. Come have some fun with turtles, snakes, gators, and other non-furry (but still fabulous) friends! Bring the family and get up close and personal with live critters, meet the people who wrangle them, and learn about their habitats, food sources, and other fun facts. Make sure you stop by the Market Hall to grab a bite before you head home. This is a FREE event. All ages are welcome.
