Monday, Jan 27

  • Kent District Library Krause Branch Events

    • Baby Time: 10-10:30am. Delight and engage your baby with songs, a story and playtime. Get to know other families and help your baby develop listening and language skills. For babies from birth to 18 months with a caregiver. No registration required. 

    • Rhyme Time Music and Movement: 11:30am-12pm. Move and groove together with action rhymes, songs, games and hands-on musical activities that will help children develop motor, listening and literacy skills.

    • Monday Evening Book Discussion: 6:30pm. This month you’ll discuss On the Same Page Book, Wandering Stars by Tommy Orange.

  • Kent District Library Krause Branch Events

    • Toddler Time: 10-10:30am. Nurture your toddler's love of books through music, movement and stories while helping to develop their language, motor and social skills.

  • Trail Tuesdays @ Third Nature Brewing Company: 5-8pm. Every Tuesday stop by between 5 and close and run, walk, bike on the White Pine Trail and receive $2 off your first post workout pint. Be sure to check-in at the host stand. Dogs are welcome in our Biergarten.

  • 30-Minute Free Play @ Kidz Indoor Playground: 5-8pm. Enjoy a FREE 30-minute trial on your first visit to Kidz Indoor Playground! No strings attached. Ages 7 and under. Kidz Grip Socks are required to play.

    • Toddler Time: 10-10:30am. Nurture your toddler's love of books through music, movement and stories while helping to develop their language, motor and social skills.

    • Story Time: 11:30am-12:30pm. Nurture your child’s love of books and build early literacy skills through stories, rhymes, music and movement. (ages 0-5).

    • The History of Lunar New Year in Grand Rapids: 6:30-7:30pm. In the early part of the twentieth century, Grand Rapids had a robust Asian community whose Lunar New Year celebrations were large enough to make front page news. With Jen Tompkins of the Grand Rapids Asian Pacific Foundation, explore historical newspaper clippings that shed light on how members of Grand Rapids' first Asian community celebrated the Lunar New Year.

  • Wintertime Walks @ Meijer Gardens: 10:30am. Bundle up and join us on an outdoor discovery walk to investigate the Children’s Garden in new ways. 

Thursday, Jan 30

  • Movies at the Museum @ GRAM: 6-10pm. Join the Grand Rapids Art Museum and the Grand Rapids Film Society for a screening of Cléo from 5 to 7 (1962) by Agnès Varda. This event is free to the public. Registration is required online.

  • Savory Soups and Sides Cooking Class @ Thought Design: 6-8pm. Warm up with a delightful variety of soups! From classic favorites to creative new flavors, you’ll learn how to make comforting dishes perfect for any season.   • Wintertime Walks @ Meijer Gardens: 10:30am. Bundle up and join us on an outdoor discovery walk to investigate the Children’s Garden in new ways. 

  • World of Winter Disco on Ice: 6-10pm @ Rosa Parks Circle Ice Rink. Get Your Groove on and join us for a disco-themed skate night! Skate to funky beats, rock your best retro look and have a blast on the ice.

Saturday, Feb 1

  • Winter Family Day @ Meijer Gardens: 1-4pm. Outdoor adventure awaits. Join us for an afternoon of wintry fun for all ages!

  • Arctic Cruise from Rockford Brewing Company to Cedar Springs Brewing Company: 11am-2pm. Bust out the fat tire bikes & your warm clothing! You’ll be making the trek down the White Pine Trail, starting at Rockford Brewing Company and biking to Cedar Springs Brewing Company. Gather at RBC around 11 AM for nourishment! Gear up to leave for Cedar Springs Brewing Company at 12:30. The ride to CSBrew is 7.7 miles from RBC. CSBrew will have the Up to Snow Good Winter Party starting at 1pm with Live Music, Oyster Bar, Barrel Release, Hot Cocoa, Live Music! All ages and skill levels are welcome.

  • Saturday Farmer’s Market @ Fulton Street Market: 10am-1pm. 1145 Fulton St E, Grand Rapids, MI. Second Season starts on November 2nd and goes through April 26th. We are open on Saturdays from 10 AM - 1 PM.

  • Ice Cream For Breakfast Day @ Furniture City Creamery: 9am-12pm. February 1st is National Ice Cream for Breakfast day! From 9am-Noon Furniture City Creamery will be open, serving up a special menu. They will be bringing back last year’s special ice cream flavor, Blueberry Pancakes. If you love savory and sweet, you are going to want to keep tabs on their instagram for updates!

  • Princess Night at the Grand Rapids Griffins: 4:30pm. Get ready for an unforgettable evening that starts at 4:30 pm, setting the stage for the thrilling Griffins Princess Night Game at 7:00 pm! Step into a world of enchantment with the VIP Tea Party experience, where you'll have the chance to meet and snap photos with your favorite characters.   • Cannonsburg Ski & Ride for Kids: Cannonsburg Kids is a weekend learn to ski and ride program for kids ages 6-12 at any ability level. The program runs both days of the weekend from 10am-1pm. Check-in begins at 9am throughout the season in the Bear Creek room. Whether a first time skier/snowboarder, or a beginner looking to gain new skills, our instructors are here to help!   • Mountain Minnies @ Cannonsburg: 11:45am. The Mountain Minnies is a winter adventure team for girls ages 3-5. The program is designed to empower girls in snow sports, build self-esteem, and lasting friendships. The biggest goal of the Mountain Minnies is to have fun on winter weekend adventures.   • Aptitude Book Club: 2-4pm. We'll be reading The Secret Power of Yoga: Revisited Edition – A Woman’s Guide to the Heart and Spirit of the Yoga Sutras by Nischala Joy Devi—a beautiful exploration of yoga’s transformative power.
